Dear Licensee,

As the Chair of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC), I want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. We are more than just regulators and we would like to take this time to emphasize that making strong business partners like you is what we are all about.

I want to take this time to tell you that the Commission is moving towards becoming a paperless agency!  Soon, phone orders and faxes will be outdated.

As of December 31, 2010 , ALL LICENSEES WILL NEED TO BE READY TO PLACE ALL OF THEIR LIQUOR ORDERS THROUGH AN ON- LINE ORDER SYSTEM.

This method is available today and we would encourage all licensees to become familiar with it. For more information please contact the Financial Management Division at 800-701-0513.

Also, a meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in our Lansing Office. Some of the items to be discussed at the open meeting are changes to the split case policy, increasing minimum case orders and instituting a charge for returned/refused orders.

You are welcome and encouraged to attend and be a part of these discussions prior to a final decision by the Commission.
