The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today reconciled Consumers Energy Company's 2006 power supply cost recovery (PSCR) costs, and it approved the company's 2007 PSCR factor.
In Case No. U-14701-R, the MPSC found that utility had an under-recovery for 2006 of $55,931,560, including interest, through December 2006. Customers will also see a one-time surcharge to recover an under-recovery of $12,928,602 due to pension equalization mechanism (PEM) and other post employment benefit costs.
The Commission also determined that the utility will refund large commercial and industrial customers $1,357,973 through a one-time credit.
In Case No. U-15001, the MPSC authorized the utility to charge a PSCR factor of up to $0.01435 per kilowatt-hour for the 12-month period ending
Dec. 31, 2007.
