FAQ
  DIT Structure
With what advisory bodies does DIT communicate?

Answer:

In order to better manage the State of Michigan’s information technology, DIT participates in several external advisory bodies. The Michigan Information Technology Executive Council (MITEC) is comprised of deputy-director level personnel from each state agency, the legislature, and the judiciary. MITEC is designed to share stakeholder needs and help DIT apply technology solutions to business needs throughout state government.

Cyberstate.org is comprised of private- and public sector information technology professionals. This group helps chart a strategy for information technology across the entire State of Michigan, not just government. DIT’s participation in cyberstate.org helps DIT stay at the leading edge of technology. Please reference Appendix A of the IT Strategic Plan to learn more about MITEC and cyberstate.org.
