Phyllis Mellon

Chief Deputy Director

Prior to her current position of chief deputy director with the Michigan Department of Information Technology (MDIT), Ms. Mellon held chief deputy leadership positions with the Michigan Departments of Agriculture and Management and Budget as well as a deputy-level position with the Michigan Department of State.

In her prior role as an agency chief information officer, she was actively involved in the transition to a consolidated technology environment in state government. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and holds both a master’s degree and doctorate degree from Michigan State University , where she currently serves as an adjunct professor.
