Stacey Tadgerson, Director, Office of Native American Affairs

Stacey Tadgerson became the director of the Office of Native American Affairs, Michigan Department of Human Service, in June 2008.

Most recently, Tadgerson worked with the Pomo Indian Nations in Northern California as the executive director for Consolidated Tribal Health Project, Inc. a rural ambulatory Indian health center providing medical, dental, behavioral health, and community outreach services. In addition, she has been employed with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians as a grant specialist; and Anishnabek Community & Family Services as special project assistant and as project facilitator (Safe Kids/Safe Streets initiative, Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention).

She also is an enrolled member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Sault Ste. Marie and is committed to serving Michigan's American Indian population.

She holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a master's degree in public administration from Northern Michigan University.
