What is a juvenile court-operated residential facility?


A juvenile court operated facility is a 24 hour residential care facility operated by a juvenile court for children and youth which can be open or secure. 

 

Act 280, of the Public Acts of 1939, as amended, confers the authority to regulate these facilities to the Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing.
