• Eligible Care Requirements
DHS payment can be used to subsidize most child care in Michigan:

• Relative Care Provider Requirements
A grandparent/step-grandparent, great-grandparent/step-great-grandparent, aunt/step-aunt, uncle/step-uncle or adult sibling/step-sibling of a DHS-funded child who cares for that child in his/her home and does not live with the child, must be enrolled by DHS as a relative care provider.

• Day Care Aide Requirements
Persons who care for DHS-funded children in the child's home must be enrolled by DHS as a day care aide.
