Client Participation Payment Change

The State of Michigan is changing the process by which client participation payments, or "rebates," are sent to customers. Currently, these payments of $50 or less are paid to the customer once a month. Starting in June 2008, the custodial party (CP) will receive this payment from the Michigan State Disbursement Unit in one of three ways:
  • A direct deposit into the customer's checking or savings account
  • Money added to the customer's child support debit card
  • A check
The changes will also include the method and frequency of client participation payments.

For more information about client participation payments and the changes that will be occurring, please go to the links below.
