Model Executables & Computer Programs

AERMOD Model

AERMOD is now the preferred regulatory dispersion model and should be used for appropriate application as replacement for all ISC (i.e. ISCST3 and ISC-PRIME) models.  AERMOD and related support documents are available for download via the EPA's Support  Centerfor Regulatory Air Models (SCRAM) website.  The website is available at: http://www.epa.gov/scram001/dispersion_prefrec.htm

Building Profile Input Program

Wind fields are perturbed as they flow around buildings and other structures.  EPA's Building Profile Input Program (BPIP) is used to determine the appropriate building/structure dimensions to be input into ISC models.  The program is available for download via the EPA's Support  Centerfor Regulatory Air Models (SCRAM) website.  The website is available at: http://www.epa.gov/scram001/dispersion_related.htm

SCREEN3/AERSCREEN Model

SCREEN3 is a conservative model that is often used as a screening method for determining the necessity for use of additional, more detailed and intensive models.  The model and related support documents are available for download via the EPA's Support  Centerfor Regulatory Air Models (SCRAM) website.  The website is available at:

http:www.epa.gov/scram001/dispersion_screening.htm

AERSCREEN is the screening model for AERMOD and will soon be replacing SCREEN3 as the conservative screening model.  The AERSCREEN website is available at:

http://www.epa.gov/scram001/dispersion_screening.htm

WINDROSE & WRPLOT Program

The WINDROSE and WRPLOT programs were developed by the EPA to calculate and display wind direction and speed frequency distributions for a given set of meteorological data.  Both programs are available for download via the EPA's Support  Centerfor Regulatory Air Models (SCRAM) website.  The website is available at: http://www.epa.gov/scram001/metobsdata_procaccprogs.htm
