Conferences

The conference on Balancing Animal Agriculture and Communities helped kickoff ANR Week this year. Wendy Powers, director of environmental stewardship for animal agriculture, led a team of faculty and field staff members to develop this daylong event as the first of a series that will cover issues that often cause conflict between animal agriculture and communities. The informative and provocative conference covered a broad reach of topics from air and water quality to real estate values, social concerns, and how policy, technology and management can help resolve conflicts. You can view the presentations at www.animalagteam.msu.edu.
