The following guidance pertains to reporting information on the discharge of critical materials under the AWR Program.
Part II – Section 9 of the wastewater report are addressed in this guidance;
Section 9.1 Total Amount of the Critical Material Discharged to the Waters of the State or to any Sewer System During the Report Year
Section 9.2 Amount of Critical Material Discharged from your Location by Wastewater Discharge Type
Section 9 - Critical Material Discharge Information
Section 9.1. Enter the total amount of each critical material discharged to the waters of the state or to any sewer system during the report year. Use the Range Code Table to convert amounts of critical material into the appropriate range code. You must enter one of the two digit range codes in order to accurately complete the wastewater report form.
PLEASE NOTE:
You must submit a separate Part II for each critical material you are required to report. If you have more than one critical material to report, please photocopy the Part II (i.e. page three of the Wastewater Report form) before filling it out. Please be sure that the report year and your facility identification number are entered in the upper right corner of each Part II you submit.
In the upper right corner, enter the report year and your facility identification number from Part I, Section 1 and Part I, Section 3.1 respectively. Indicate if the information in Part II revises a previously submitted Wastewater Report by checking either the NO or YES box.
Section 9.2. Enter the annual amount of each critical material discharged from your location by wastewater discharge type. Use the Range Code Table in Section 9.1 to convert the amount of critical material discharged for each wastewater type.
There are no thresholds for reporting the quantities of each critical material discharged to the waters of the state or to any sewer system. Reporting on critical materials contained in wastewater discharges must be based on actual estimates of the annual amount of each critical material released annually into the waters of the state or to any sanitary sewer system.
