Guidance Used For Issuing DEQ Drinking Water Health Advisories

Agency: Environmental Quality

DEQ drinking water health advisories are issued in accordance with Act 451 PA 1994, Part 201 Generic Cleanup Criteria, as listed in Operational Memorandum #18. Well users with sample analysis exceedences of levels found in the column labeled "Residential and Commercial I Drinking Water Criteria" of Rule 744 Table with the footnotes found in Rule 750 receive an advisory recommending that the water supply not be used for drinking and food preparation.
