Putting applications and services on the Internet can be a challenging experience. Keeping them properly security can result in a major investment in time and money. Are you sure that your systems are secure? When the last time your organization had a complete vulnerability scan done on its Internet facing hosts (servers, firewalls, web servers, etc.)? If its has been a while you should consider participating in a project that the Department of Information Technology is currently undertaking that provides local units of government with a free vulnerability scan of Internet facing hosts.
