General
The Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center Annex (RGC) was formerly part of the State Prison of Southern Michigan. RGC acts as the main intake point for male prisoners with new sentences and those who have violated their parole and are being sent back to prison. Here the prisoners are classified and await transfer to an appropriate facility or camp.
The reception center for females is located at the Robert Scott Correctional Facility.
