This research tool will allow users to determine the number and location of students who resided within one local education agency district's boundaries, but attended school in another district or public school academy for the past six years. This dataset can be created only by examining the statewide individual student data that are maintained by CEPI via the Single Record Student Database.
CEPI would like to thank the district volunteers that helped define characteristics of the dataset and Macomb ISD for assistance in developing the user guide that is critical to using this new research tool.
Creating specialized public datasets is part of CEPI's mission to provide data and reports to local and state policymakers as well as the citizens of the state to allow them to make informed decisions. The downloadable ZIP file contains an Microsoft Excel 2003 cube file and requires Excel 2003 or higher for proper viewing.
