An Introduction to Buy Michigan First Header

Governor Jennifer M. Granholm initiated Buy Michigan First to encourage Michigan businesses, including underrepresented vendor groups, to register with the State as vendors and bid on more than 1,200 contract opportunities valued at over $19 billion.

New Solicitation Notification System

In the upcoming months, DMB Purchasing Operations will be implementing a new system for posting, notification, and status information for Commodities, Services, and Information Technology bid and proposal requests, and requests for information (ITBs, RFPs, and RFIs). We look forward to transitioning our solicitations and attachments to this new network in anticipation that the move will enhance our ability to enlarge and diversity the State's supplier base, while promoting competition.
