Salary information is very important to my career choice. As far as whether making more money or enjoying my job is more important, I think if I'm making a lot of money, I can have fun on or off the job.

if you do a job just for the money, what else will you do just for money? Your passion will guide you to a career that you will truely enjoy.

Right now I am tring to find a field that I would enjoy. I think that if I enjoy what I do, I wouldn't have to work a day in my life. So the field is more important then the money.

It's so easy to make a career decision based on salary, but you need to evaluate what you like to do. I would definately take a job that I love that pays mediocre over a high-paying job I hate.

Don't choose a job based on money. I'd suggest choosing a career without looking at pay. Realistically, people live off of a McDonald's or Pizza Delivery income. Don't worry about pay. You'll obviously choose a job that can take care of you financially if you're in college. Choose something you love.

You must be realistic in choosing a career now a days. You may find something you like doing, but can you live off of the pay? Maybe land a good paying job, and do what you like to as a volunteer or a hobby.

believe me, money isn't everything. unless you plan to change careers multiple times, find something you'll be happy with first, then work on the money part.

You need to be practical and consider both of these very important aspects of your future. weigh the pros and cons. Will the love of your career be enough to offset a lower salary, even through your different stages of your life (ex., you have children, want to retire, travel etc.)? It is necessary to think about things long-term when evaluating career choices, especially if you become very specialized in a field and it is difficult to change jobs.

My wife and I took jobs that we really liked but the pay wasn't there. The stress of wondering if we could pay the bills, afford children was too much. We both quit our jobs for better paying ones. Now we have hobbies that we love to do,and can afford them!
