Duties/Responsibilities:

• Initiates Medicaid fraud civil recoveries
• Investigates and Prosecutes
  • Medicaid provider fraud in the Michigan Medicaid Program
  • Financial and physical abuse and neglect of residents in resident care facilities such as nursing homes, homes of the aged, adult foster care facilities and assisted living facilities
• Provides public outreach related to Medicaid provider fraud, abuse and neglect
• Provides training in jurisdictional areas to law enforcement and other related groups 
• Represents the  state in Qui Tam cases filed by whistleblowers under Michigan's Medicaid False Claim Act
