It happens every year!
The annual Aviation/Aerospace Teacher Workshop is a unique opportunity for educators, at all grade levels, to explore ways aviation and aerospace concepts can be incorporated into classroom activities. Aviation and space concepts are proven motivators, and can easily be fully integrated into your curriculum.
- The workshops are be conducted by teachers, for teachers.
- Participants will have an opportunity to interact with other educators, as well as aviation professionals, who will present seminars on a variety of subjects.
- A wide range of information and materials will be provided as part of the registration fee, including aerospace curricula, career information, and resource guides.
- The workshop presentations and resources have been specially designed to relate to the Michigan Education Assessment Program (MEAP) benchmark goals and objectives. The Michigan Essential Goals and Objectives in Science Education (MEGOSE) will be highlighted.
- Additionally, the program qualifies toward the fifteen days of professional development credit required of probationary teachers.
As a special feature, the workshop will include the opportunity to take an actual introductory flight (weather permitting) with a certified flight instructor.
