Air Service in Michigan
About Air Services
Airline passengers in Michigan increased by 1% between 2006 and 2007. In 2007, over 38 million passengers and in excess of 663 million pounds of cargo were moved through Michigan's 18 Air Carrier airports. Approximately 25 airlines serve Michigan and contribute $2.7 billion annually to the state's economy. Detroit Metro Airport ranks 11th nationwide in total passengers, and 12th nationwide in air carrier operations.
