UIA Performance Metrics
The Unemployment Insurance Agency’s Economic Dashboard highlights key metrics that measure UIA’s success in providing economic relief to workers who lose their job through no fault of their own. This innovative resource provides in-depth analysis of key economic indicators of the unemployment insurance program that serves the residents of Michigan and how unemployment insurance impacts the state's economy.
The Economic Dashboard is designed to guide policy decisions that will improve service to workers and employers. Insights into which sectors are experiencing layoffs, claimant demographics, and the regions most affected empowers policymakers and the public with the information needed to tailor and implement solutions focused on the needs of Michiganders.
Updates have been made to the Economic Dashboard in June 2026:
- Historical metrics added for Initial Claims, Continued Weeks Claimed, Compensated Weeks, and Benefit Payments.
- Latest statewide trends displayed on the Trust Fund page.
- Tables have been updated for the Occupation, Industry, and Claims tabs to show claims comparison for previous month and same month from the previous year.
- Data download instructions have been added to every page.
