The State Surplus program works with State Agencies to reutilize and sell State of Michigan surplus property. Surplus also sells confiscated property for the Department of Natural Resources, Michigan State Police, and the Transportation Security Administration. The public is able to purchase State Surplus property at reasonable prices through the MiBid auction site or at a quarterly in-person sale.
MiBid
MiBid is the online auction website for surplus sales. The site offers users advanced security features, several payment options, and bidder confidentiality. The site is integrated with the State of Michigan MiLogin portal, which provides a secure, single point of access to many state services.
The MiBid auction site is open to everyone, including local governments. All auction items may be viewed by the public, however, a free MiLogin account is required to bid on items. Users with a MiLogin account to access other state services are ready to go.
