PROPOSED SEALED BID NONMETALLIC MINERAL (LIMESTONE) LEASE - DEVELOPMENT: Nonmetallic mineral (limestone) lease rights to 193.37 acres, more or less, of state-owned mineral rights, located in Section 1, T44N, R08W, Hudson Township, and in Section 06, T44N, R09W, Garfield Township, Mackinac County, have been requested for sealed-bid auction. SALE OF MINERAL AND ALLIED RIGHTS (MPA 938) : Conveyance of state-owned ingress and egress to watercourses and mineral rights to a parcel lying within Section 6, T46N, R29W, Republic Township, Marquette County, containing 3.52 acres, more or less, has been requested by Terry F. Burkhart, of Escanaba, Michigan, on behalf of Republic Township, of Republic, Michigan. Contact: Thomas Wellman, 517-335-3251. Decision-maker: Forest Management Division Chief.

SURFACE USE LEASE FOR A TRAILWAY ON STATE LAND: Surface use lease L-10220 to provide for construction, maintenance and management of a public trailway on state-owned land has been requested by the Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority of Marquette, Michigan, and said state-owned land is located as follows: a strip of land 100 feet (more or less) in width being the former right of way of the Soo Line Railroad Company (successor in interest to the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railway Company and its subsidiaries) said strip being 50 feet (more or less) on each side of the centerline of the main track of said Soo Line Railroad Company, commencing at a point known as Mile Post 156.6 within the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 22, T48N, R25W, Marquette County, Michigan, thence traversing in a Westerly direction 100 feet in width across the Westerly 200 feet of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 22, including the bridge over US-41/M-28; thence continuing Westerly across Sections 21, 20, 19 and 24. And continuing Westerly, 100 feet in width across Sections 24, 25, 26, 35 and 34 and ending at a point known as Mile Post 162.84 within the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 34, T48N, R26W, Marquette County, Michigan.
