Dog Training

You may train dogs on wild animals only from July 8 - April 15.

Exception: Michigan residents may train dogs on fox on state lands in Zone 3 under special permit. For additional information on dog permits, contact Casey Reitz at 517-373-9329 or e-mail reitzc@michigan.gov. See the 2012 Michigan Bear Hunting Digest for dog/bear training restrictions.
