Emerging Issues and Potential Future Activities

  • Great Lakes Regional Initiative funding and strategic planning
  • Inland lakes and streams (Part 301) Stakeholders committee (including new GP for culvert replacement)
  • Develop rules governing the implementation of fish passage requirements under Passage of Fish Over Dams Part and facilitate implementation through FERC licenses and dam modifications.
  • Great Lakes restoration strategy for cooling water intake impacts with DEQ under Clean Water Act rules
