• Great Lakes Regional Initiative funding and strategic planning
• Inland lakes and streams (Part 301) Stakeholders committee (including new GP for culvert replacement)
• Develop rules governing the implementation of fish passage requirements under Passage of Fish Over Dams Part and facilitate implementation through FERC licenses and dam modifications.
• Great Lakes restoration strategy for cooling water intake impacts with DEQ under Clean Water Act rules
• Great Lakes offshore wind power development, planning and mitigation
• New designations in the Natural Rivers program
• Develop survey methods (and conservation practices) to protect freshwater mussels
• Stream Habitat Improvement Methods ? Division staff training
• Improve expertise and experience in fish passage design and construction.
• Participate on (or lead) an interdisciplinary team to prioritize and implement dam removal projects
• Help the Division develop knowledge on broad, landscape scale of activities most affecting river and lake habitat and how best to address those forces.
