About the Transportation & Natural Resources Committee

Members: Secretary of State, Lt. Governor, and the Attorney General

Recommends approval of: awards of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) contracts and agreements; Department of Natural Resources (DNR) oil, gas, and mineral leases; and Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) conveyance of submerged lands.

The Department of Transportation, Contract Services Division prepares the MDOT agenda.

The DNR, oil, gas, and mineral lease items are prepared and submitted on the DNR, Mineral and Land Management Section agenda.  

The DEQ, conveyances of submerged lands items are prepared and submitted on the DEQ, Water Resources Division agenda.

The Committee meets for regular meetings on the Tuesday before the State Administrative Board meeting in the Michigan Library and Historical Center, 702 W. Kalamazoo Street, Lansing, Michigan, at 11:00 a.m. The current calendar shows the assigned meeting rooms.  The agenda is prepared by the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
