Michigan Commission on Spanish-Speaking Affairs to Meet Friday, Nov. 12, in Lansing

NOVEMBER 5, 2004 - The Michigan Commission on Spanish-Speaking Affairs will meet in a public session on Friday, November 12, 2004.  The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. in the Department of Labor & Economic Growth 4th Floor Training Room located in the Ottawa Building, 611 West Ottawa, Lansing, Michigan.  For questions or driving directions, please call (517) 373-8339.

 

Anyone who has matters to bring before the commission can contact the commission office at (517) 373-8339.  There will be an opportunity for public comment at the beginning of the meeting. State of Michigan visitor parking is available at the nearby Michigan Library & Historical Center, 702 W. Kalamazoo St (see below for handicapped plates/permits).

The meeting site is accessible.  Individuals attending the meeting are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products, in order to enhance accessibility for everyone.  People with disabilities requiring additional services (such as materials in alternative format) in order to participate in the meeting should call Vicky Potter at (517) 373-8339 at least two business days prior to the meeting.

 

Visitor Parking for Persons with Handicapped Plates/Permits

 

Visitor parking for persons possessing authorized handicapped plates/permits is available underneath the Ottawa Building where the COSSA meeting will be held. In order to reserve a handicapped parking space, contact Vicky Potter at (517)373-8339 before the date of the meeting. Arrangements will be made for your parking and provide you with directions on how to enter the parking area. Once you arrive at the entrance to the parking area, a security guard will ask you for a picture ID and the reason of your appearance. The security guard will then direct you to the designated parking area. You should take the elevator to the 4th floor and follow the signs to the Training Room.
