Former DHS Worker Charged With Embezzlement

LANSING - State Attorney General Bill Schuette announced Thursday that his 'public integrity unit' has charged a former Michigan Department of Human Services employee with one felony count of embezzlement.

A DHS investigation found that 40-year old Misti Blackburn of Eaton Rapids used her state procurement credit card for personal use.

An arrest warrant was filed Thursday with a district court in Lansing and Blackburn has turned herself in to authorities.
