Flexible Fuel Vehicles in the State Fleet
In 2007, over 2000 vehicles in the state fleet are capable of running on E85 fuel. The make, model, and model year of those vehicles are listed below.
E85 is a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Ethanol is a renewable, low-emission fuel produced from corn or other grains. Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) are designed to run on unleaded gasoline, E85 or any mixture in between.
NOTE: Not all the vehicles of each make and model listed here are Flex Fuel Vehicles. E85 cannot be used in gasoline engines that were not manufactured for E85 use. Make sure to verify that a vehicle is E85 compatible before fueling with E85.
VTS will begin labeling all new E85-capable vehicles beginning with the 2007 order year. Drivers of E85 vehicles already in the fleet have been notified of their vehicle's fuel capabilities.
How do you know if you are driving a Flex Fuel Vehicle? Check to see if your vehicle is included in the chart below, then see how to identify a FFV.
