BCAL Launches New Online Application for Child Care Licensing

On March 27, 2012, the Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing (BCAL) launched its new online application for child care licenses and registrations. Applicants will now be able to enter information online, submit payment, and the data submitted will then merge directly into the BCAL licensing database. Michigan will be only the second state that has such an automated application process for child care licenses. The online renewal license will be available later this year. Paper copies will eventually be phased out and renewing online will be the only option available to licensees/registrants.
