Hoeft State Park Lodge
History is never but just a step away when you're at P.H Hoeft State Park. That includes the 1920's Sears and Roebuck Lodge. Located in the heart of one of Michigan's first state parks the Sears and Roebuck Lodge is the perfect place to plan a vacation get-a-way for anytime of the year.
Located on the northern shores of spectacular Lake Huron the lodge affords modern comfort in old fashion setting. The 80 year old home was built as a park residence and campground office.
The Sears and Roebuck lodge has a fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy eating outside in your own private yard; picnic tables and a charcoal grill are on hand. Outdoor cooking over the fire pit in the backyard is a great way to create memories for young and old.
There are three queen size beds and a set of bunk beds for a good nights sleep. The lodge comfortably sleeps eight. However, the living room has two futon couches for extra sleeping capacity.
The house is a two story Sears and Roebuck mail order catalog home. Two bedrooms and a half bath are located on the second floor. There is a first floor master bed and bathroom.
The unique and beautiful enclosed front porch is furnished with Adirondack chairs and a table that seats five. These rooms are the perfect place for family games and get togethers. The peaceful and tranquil sunroom will quickly become a favored place for spending time with a great book. The dining room also has a seating for six. The setting and furnishings easily make this home the perfect place for any type of get-away.
All the furnishing in the home are handcrafted and add the perfect touch for a dreamy summer afternoon or snowy winter day.
The lodge is open year around for that special vacation. The towering oaks around the home create a beautiful shady canopy.
The lodge rates are $110 per night Sunday thru Thursday and $120 per night for Friday and Saturday nights, weekly rental is $790. Check-in time is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 12 p.m. Two night minimum is required year round and a three night continuous stay is required for holiday weekends.
Amenities include a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. Linens/towels are supplied along with dishware, utensils, pots, bakeware, pans. Webber grill (charcoal not provided), a fire pit (wood for sale in the park), and a picnic table. Guests are expected to clean the lodge prior to their departure.
