Announcement of 2013 Automobile Theft Prevention Authority Grants

Contact: ATPA, (517) 241-1087

Agency: State Police

LANSING - The Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (ATPA) is currently accepting applications from law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, judicial agencies and community/neighborhood organizations for enforcement, prosecution, community awareness and prevention programs aimed at reducing automobile theft.

These grants are funded from assessments paid by insurance companies to the ATPA.  Due to the limited funds available, a 50 percent hard match is required for all applicants, with the exception of non-profit neighborhood/community organizations.  Funds must be utilized to enhance auto theft prevention efforts, not for supplanting current programs.
